Americanii de la Lockheed continua sa-si promoveze cel mai de succes produs al lor, multirolul F-16. La Dubai Airshow 2013, ei au prezentat, asa cum era si normal, cea mai avansata versiune, Block 60.
Bill McHenry, Director Business Development – Aeronautics la Lockheed Martin, a vorbit despre capabilitatile lui F-16 Bk.60, lasand sa se inteleaga faptul ca sunt preconizate noi dezvoltari ale avionului care parea intr-un timp ca si-a atins limitele.
Extrem de scump, F-16 in versiunea Bk.60 a fost vandut doar Emiratelor Arabe Unite.
Arabii au primit 80 de asemenea avioane multirol si au comandat recent inca 25 de bucati. Unul singur a fost pierdut intr-un accident in urma cu 7 ani.
Lockheed continues to promote its most successful product, the F-16 multi-role fughter jet. At the Dubai Airshow 2013, they presented, as was expected, the most advanced version of F-16, Block 60.
Bill McHenry, Director Business Development – Aeronautics at Lockheed Martin, spoke about capabilities of the F-16 Bk.60, making it clear that the new developments of the aircraft are expected to appear in some rather short amount of time.
Extremely expensive, the F-16 Block 60 version was only sold to the United Arab Emirates.
The UAE received 80 multirole jets and recently ordered 25 more. Just one was lost in an accident, seven years ago.
