Nicolae Demetriade, Taroms administrator – executive director and one of the most controversial figures in the company’s management, resigned. The announcement was made on Tuesday morning .
Demetriade didn’t said much about this shoking decision, only that the law about private management in state-owned companies is „an illusion”.
Demetriade’s arrival in the the Board of Directors of Tarom, this summer, and his promotion to manager – executive director provoked ample discussions. It was said that he was former minister Fenechiu’s man, imposed in management of the national airline .
In fact, shortly after Demetriade’s return at Tarom, the Executive Director Christian Heinzmann was forced to accept reducing of his term, from four years to only one, many claiming that firing the foreign managerwas first step in order to make room for Demetriade.
Things took a different turn after Fenechiu was forced to leave the government .
