Aeroclubul Romaniei are, de cateva zile, un nou planor pentru acrobatie. Este vorba despre un Allstar SZD-59 Acro achizitionat nou din Polonia.
Noul planor a fost achizitionat prin licitatie publica si este fabricat de polonezii de la Allstar PZL Glider Sp.z o.o., constructorul planoarelor Jantar, folosite de Lotul National de Planorism Distanta din cadrul Aeroclubului Romaniei.
SZD-59 Acro va reprezenta Romania la competitiile internationale de acrobatie cu planorul, clasa Advanced.
Dupa cum ne-a explicat George Rotaru, directorul general al Aeroclubului Romaniei, cele trei planoare de acrobatie IAR-35 construite la Brasov si aflate in dotarea Aeroclubului, nu pot participa la astfel de competitii deoarece nu pot executa numarul total de elemente din programele acrobatice.
Totusi, cele trei IAR-35, alaturi de noul SZD-59 si de doua planoare de asemenea romanesti, IS-28B2, vor consitui, din 2014, flota dedicata formarii, selectiei si antrenamentului pilotilor Aeroclubului Romaniei, componenti ai Lotului National de Acrobatie Planor.
De asemenea, noul planor polonez va fi folosit pentru zboruri de distanta, el avand inca un set de capete de aripa cu ajutorul carora anvergura este marita la 15 metri.
Cei de la Aeroclub au promis ca vom putea admira planorul SZD-59 incepand cu anul urmator, la mitingurile aeriene.

The new glider, wich was purchased by public tender, is manufactured by Polish company Allstar PZL Glider Sp oo, the one who builds Jantar gliders, used by the National Distannce Gliding Team.
SZD -59 Acro will represent Romania at gliding international competitions, Advanced class.
As explained by George Rotaru, general manager of the Romanian Aeroclub, they already have three aerobatic gliders, the IAR-35 built in Brasov, but these can’t be used in such competitions because they can’t execute the total number of elements required in a acrobatic program.
However, the three IAR- 35, along with brand new SZD-59 and two Romanian IS-28B2 gliders, will constitute the dedicated fleet for forming, selection and training Romanian Aeroclun pilots, members of the National Glider Aerobatic Team.
The new Polish glider will also be used for distance flights.
