Un avion cargo urias Boeing Dreamlifter a aterizat pe aerportul gresit! Iar pista acestui aeroport este atat de scurta, incat echipajul nu poate decola de acolo pentru a ajunge la destinatie.
Incidentul deloc obisnuit s-a petrecut miercuri, cand echipajul Dreamlifterului a facut o gafa uriasa.
Avionul trebuia sa ajunga la McConnell Air Force Base, insa a aterizat pe micutul aeroport Jabara, din Wichita, aflat la 9 mile distanta de baza aeriana. Interesant este faptul ca echipajul a comunicat tot timpul cu turnul de la McConnell, abia dupa aterizare realizand ca se afla in alt loc.
Marea problema este ca Dreamlifterul este pur si simplu prea mare pentru micutul Jabara Airport! Acum, oficialii Boeing, cei ai companiei si cei ai aeroportului cauta cu disperare aproape solutii pentru ca avionul sa decoleze de pe Jabara si sa ajunga in sfarsit la McConnell.
Boeing Dreamlifter este un Boeing 747-400 cu fuselajul mult marit, folosit in special pentru a transporta componentele mari ale noului Dreamliner intre diferitele uzine.
A huge Boeing Dreamlifter cargo plane landed on the wrong airport! And to make things more fun, the airport’s runway is so short, so the crew can not take off from there to reach the destination.
The incident happened on Wednesday, when the crew of the Dreamlifter made a huge mistake.
The plane was supposed to arrive at McConnell Air Force Base, but landed at small Jabara Airport in Wichita, located 9 miles from the air base. Interestingly, the crew always communicated with the tower at McConnell and only after landing they realized that were in another place.
Now, the big problem is that the Dreamlifter simply too big for little Jabara Airport! Boeing officials and those of the airport are almost desperately in seeking solutions, so the plane can take off from Jabara and finally arrive at McConnell.
Dreamlifter is an Boeing 747-400 with a much larger fuselage, used to transport large components of the new Dreamliner between different plants.
