Un avion de vanatoare Saab JAS 39 Gripen a fost expus in centrul orasului Praga.
Armata ceha a organizat o interesanta expozitie de tehnica militara in piata Hradcany, cea din fata castelului Praga. Binenteles ca din aceast expozitie nu putea lipsi bijuteria Fortelor Aeriene, Gripenul.
Pentru ca strazile din capitala Cehiei, mai ales in zona centrala, nu permit transportarea avionului, s-a apelat la suedezi. Acestia au trimis o echipa de tehnicieni care a demontat un Gripen, l-a dus frumos in piata Hradcany unde l-au montat pentru expunere.
Dupa expozitie, avionul a fost demontat din nou si dus la baza.
Inutil sa spunem ca Gripenul a facut senzatie printre vizitatori, fiind, de departe, vedeta expozitiei. Un moment interesant s-a petrecut la final, atunci cand multi curiosi au petrecut zeci de minute in piata pentru a urmari demontarea avionului.

Czech Army organized an interesting exhibition of military equipment in the Hradcany square, in front of Prague castle. And of course, jewl of the Air Force, the Gripen couldn’t miss.
Because the streets of the Czech capital, especially in the central area, don’t allow transportation of a big airplane, the swedes were called to save the day. They sent a team of technicians who dismantled a Gripen, took it to beautiful Hradcany square where they mounted it back for display.
After the exhibition, the plane was dismantled again and taken back to base.
Needless to say that the Gripen was a huge sensation among visitors, being by far the star of the show. An interesting moment occurred at the end, when many curious have spent tens of minutes to watch the technicians dismantling the fighter jet in the midle of the square.
Czech Air Force are equipped with 14 Saab Gripen multirole aircraft, leased from Sweden.
