Un accident mai putin obisnuit a avut loc luni dimineata in Iran, atunci cand un avion McDonnell Douglas MD-83 apartinand companiei Caspian Airlines a iesit din pista la aterizarea pe aeroportul Mahshahr si s-a oprit pe o autostrada aflata in imediata apropiere.
Aparatul inmatriculat EP-CPZ si avand seria de fabricatie 53464 efectua zborul 6936 intre Teheran si Mahshahr, avand la bord 144 de persoane.
Din cate se pare, imediat dupa ce a luat contact cu pista trenul de aterizare, care nu ar fi fost deschis complet, a cedat, iar avionul a alunecat pe burta, parasind perimetrul aeroportului.
S-a oprit la aproximativ 170 de metri de capul piste, in mijlocul autostrazii Mahshahr-Sarbandar.
Din fericire nimeni nu a fost ranit serios, numai doua persoane avand nevoie de ingrijiri medicale.
